Information concerning the Act on the Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons
With the Act on the Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons coming into force, the conduct of simple inspections and the storage of those records are now mandated.

Formally known as the Act on the Rational Use and Proper Management of Fluorocarbons, this statute came into force on April 1, 2015 . As a result, the conduct of simple inspections on fluorocarbon-utilizing equipment (such as air conditioners for agricultural machinery) and the storage of those records came to be mandated.

Conduct of simple
inspections and the
method

A simple visual inspection (of the exterior) needs to be conducted at least once every three months by owners (clients). In conducting a simple inspection, no qualifications are required. Inspections can be outsourced. If any abnormality is detected through an inspection, please contact the vendor promptly. The collection and replenishment of fluorocarbons cannot be performed by anyone other than specific specialists.

Inspection records

Clients are to keep inspection records and store them. Record book can be in any format, and electronic record is also acceptable. Record machine model , machine number, the inspection date, the inspection items, and the inspection results of each. A record of simple inspections in table form (sample) can be found below. Storing inspection
records

Inspection records should be stored until the machine is discarded or assigned. If a machine is to be assigned, its inspection records should be presented to the assignee.
